Your Role:

As a Health Care Aide with Alberta Health Services, you will provide essential support to patients in their homes and in our healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily living activities, providing personal care, and supporting their overall well-being. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with toileting, mobility, and nutrition
  • Support patients with their activities of daily living, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families

Requirements:
  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of patient care principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
