Key Responsibilities

Hours: | Rotational Schedule

Alternating Days: Mon/Tue, Fri/Sat | Sun, Wed, Thurs

  • Shift Hours: Monday to Thursday | Friday | Saturday & Sunday

Compensation: | $18.25/hour

Note: The average weekly hours for this role may vary between 27 to 21 hours based on the rotation. Successful candidates must be available for Day/Evening shifts throughout the week.

Job Duties:



  • Transport and manage equipment for various sites
  • Maintain daily reporting
  • Assist in transferring patients to designated areas
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all individuals
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols
  • Respond to incidents as required
  • Prepare detailed reports
  • Investigate routine occurrences
  • Screen patients and visitors, ensuring contraband control
  • Oversee forensic monitoring operations
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:



  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Current First Aid & CPR - Level C Certification (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Ability to maintain a clean-shaven appearance for N95 Mask Fit Testing
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (minimum double vaccination)
  • Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
  • Capability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License (G)
  • Proficient in English (both verbal and written)
  • Commitment to the position for a minimum of 6 months
  • 6+ months of customer service experience is required
  • 1+ year of security experience is required
  • Experience in healthcare or healthcare security is advantageous
  • Must provide certifications in Stay Safe
  • Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's Stay Safe training program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements

Important Information:
The Stay Safe training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite; however, Paladin will cover all associated training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position.
