Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Private Banking Officer to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Wealth Sales & Service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our private banking clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing new business proposals or presentations to clients/prospects.
  • Identify customer needs and match with appropriate products or services using relationship selling techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Review overdraft and other monitoring reports with Private Banker and take action accordingly.
  • Strive to exceed client service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth.
  • Develop rapport and instill confidence with clients to develop credibility and earn their trust.
  • Provide timely, accurate service and support to Private Bankers by completing a wide variety of credit, non-credit, and related activities.
  • Adhere to all banking, investment, and lending regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Typically between 2 – 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study.
  • Must meet the licensing and certification requirements for the team/branch/jurisdiction where the mandate is being fulfilled.
  • Completion of the Investment Funds in Canada Course is required.
  • Working knowledge of personal and commercial credit and non-credit products, monitoring/operational processes, and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of the Lending Process and supporting policies.
  • Basic knowledge of loan and security documentation, including registration and renewal routine.
