We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct trauma-informed healthcare services to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care to clients with a wide range of physical, psychiatric, and substance use disorders.
- Conduct assessments, collect specimens, and administer prescribed treatments and medication according to protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide education and support to clients and groups on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent experience providing trauma-informed acute or community health nursing care to patients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
- Successful completion of Occupational First Aid II (OFA II) or equivalent.
