Your Role: Driving Growth and Success

We're seeking a driven Business Development Specialist to play a crucial role in expanding our reach within the electrical construction market. This multifaceted position combines business development and account management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to penetrate new markets and cultivate relationships with key electrical contractors within your assigned geographic area.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing contractor accounts, maximizing their potential through effective communication, resource allocation, and relationship building.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, collaborating closely with internal teams (Product Managers, Resource Managers) and external partners to drive growth.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure orders, ensuring favorable terms for Gerrie Electric while meeting customer needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries promptly and effectively, and building strong, lasting partnerships.

Your Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven success in business development or account management within the electrical distribution industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
