As a Food Service Supervisor at Second Cup Coffee Co., you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that our menu offerings are consistently delivered to our high standards.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates, ensuring that our financial resources are utilized effectively.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns, providing prompt and courteous resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of our establishment's culinary genres, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and accurately.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring that our staff are adequately staffed and supported. Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
    • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
    • Client-focused and results-driven, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Availability to work a 35-hour week, with flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends as required.
    • English language proficiency.
