Job Summary:The TorontoJobs Recruitment Division is seeking a highly skilled Division Accounting Manager to join their team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions and activities assigned to the division. This includes managing accounts payable, cost, and divisional accounting activities, as well as supervising a team of accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate accounting functions and activities assigned to the division.
- Supervise and lead a team of accounting staff, including performance appraisals and training.
- Maintain standard costs for manufactured products and develop manufacturing overhead budgets.
- Prepare and reconcile annual standard revaluations and physical inventories.
- Review and approve journal entries and coordinate journal entry input to the general ledger.
- Analysis of month-end financial data and preparation of monthly segmented operating statements.
- Coordinate all internal audits and develop and maintain internal controls.
- Monitor divisional sales and use taxes and property taxes.
- University degree in business and CPA designation.
- 6-8 years of accounting experience, including 2 years of leadership experience.
- Excellent knowledge of finance and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to cope with heavy workloads and meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
