Your contributions will be vital in helping individuals adhere to their rehabilitation plans and achieve their health objectives.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time commitment with a focus on delivering quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group exercise sessions and provide individualized support to residents as directed by the supervising Physiotherapist.
- Motivate residents to meet their rehabilitation goals effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and track residents' progress in accordance with Physiotherapist guidelines.
- Assist residents with mobility, including walking, sitting, and safe transfers.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' health conditions to the Physiotherapist or designated supervisor.
- Administer therapeutic treatments such as applying ice or heat packs, ultrasound therapy, and other modalities as instructed.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant program or equivalent training.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with elderly individuals, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Previous experience in a Long Term Care or Retirement home setting is preferred.
- A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is mandatory.
- Proof of a valid 2 STEP TB TEST is required.
- COVID-19 Vaccination is a prerequisite.
- Having access to reliable transportation is advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Aurora area or nearby regions.
