Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RN Emergency Nurse to join our team at St. Paul's Hospital. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of our clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including triage, assessment, and treatment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical practice guidelines
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care emergency department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience with an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of emergency nursing practices
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work, and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
