Speech Language Pathologist Role:

  • Be part of a prominent healthcare institution delivering evaluation and treatment to patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Oversee patients with swallowing difficulties in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
  • Guide students and therapy assistants, offering mentorship and professional insight.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical and instrumental evaluations and interventions concerning swallowing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical services both independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage in the planning, organization, and execution of rehabilitation services.
  • Mentor students and provide clinical direction to team members.
  • Contribute to quality enhancement and program development utilizing clinical knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current registration with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
  • Certification in Heart and Stroke CPR is mandatory.
  • Experience in managing dysphagia and oropharyngeal dysphagia in adult patients.
  • Familiarity with Videofluoroscopic swallowing assessments is preferred.
