Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Elves Special Needs Society, a non-profit organization and Private School accredited by Alberta Education. The successful candidate will work with children, youth, and adults with speech and language delays, or severe cognitive, physical, or social impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children and youth for purposes of diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prepare documents, including assessments, individual program plans, and multidisciplinary reports.
  • Offer evidence-based intervention and oversight of Speech and Language Pathology Assistants.
  • Collaborate with classroom staff to develop and monitor individualized communication programs.
  • Promote the use of general communication, low-tech, and Alternative or Augmentative Communication (AAC) strategies in the classroom.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) is required.
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is preferred.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and adults with severe disabilities and augmentative communication systems is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
