Job Summary

The Hotel Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting environment for our hotel guests and responding to specific room supply requests in a timely manner. This role requires adherence to company policies, procedures, quality standards, and services established by the management team to ensure guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest floors and linen areas, including vacuuming guest hallways daily.
  • Ensure laundry for cleaning supplies is done on an assigned basis.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues in public areas.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and welcoming manner.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Deliver linens, cots, and extra supplies to guest rooms upon request.
  • Maintain linen closets, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Ensure inventory of guest room products is stocked for room attendant carts.
  • Remove items from hallways and transport them to service areas, including debris, food and beverage trays, soiled linens, and trash.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is required, with a preference for hotel environment.
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs).
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and laundry machines.
  • Must have a safety mindset for self and others.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Work within a 24/7 operation with flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Will be required to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards, and position.
