Ryder Automated Vehicle Operations Specialist - Day Shift

As a key player in the operation of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless transfer of products within warehouse environments. Your role will involve loading and unloading trailers, as well as efficiently moving products throughout the facility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct corrective maintenance on AGV units that are malfunctioning or not performing as intended.
  • Manually complete tasks that the AGV units were unable to finish.
  • Document issues and repairs, utilizing the escalation process as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols specific to the work location and center.

Additional Duties

  • Carry out other assigned responsibilities as needed.
  • Participate in various warehouse functions as required.
  • Provide training to colleagues on safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading, basic mathematics, and understanding both written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Experience in data entry within relevant computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to foster professional relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up capabilities.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and pallet jacks, with knowledge of maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with operating manual and automated warehouse equipment is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certification for operating scissor lifts is mandatory.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant warehouse experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience operating powered industrial lifts.
  • Certification for operating powered industrial trucks is required.
