Job Overview:

Job Summary:

  • Perform coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate and maneuver tractor trailer equipment to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Assist with organizing the work zone and setting up equipment as required.
  • Unload incoming packages manually or using machinery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify the quantity and condition of delivery units to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Scan packages using the correct equipment and technology.
  • Sort packages according to established processes and procedures.
  • Complete documentation, records, and validate information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reposition vehicles according to the dock plan to optimize operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment during and after operations.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Meet local age and operational requirements to operate a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of package handling principles and best practices.
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience driving vehicles, preferably in a logistics or transportation setting.
