Job Summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a skilled professional to support the operation of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in our warehouse facility. As an AGV Wrangler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate transfer of product into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, and move product throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide corrective maintenance to AGV units that have stopped or are not working as expected
  • Manually override or complete the job the AGV unit failed to complete
  • Track issues/repairs and utilize escalation process
  • Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into computer system(s) in use
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as member of a team
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (s), such as: Stand-up and Sit down forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Pallet Jacks, etc. including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Two (2) years or more related warehouse experience required
  • Two (2) years or more powered industrial lift experience required
  • Powered industrial truck certification
