Job Title: Vehicle Shiftter

This position performs the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers, ensuring seamless transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery and possess excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work zones with suitable equipment, adhering to current guidelines.
  • Assist with organizing specified set-ups, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Unload incoming packages manually or using machinery, maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Verify the quantity and condition of delivery units, ensuring accuracy.
  • Scan packages using the correct equipment, maintaining data integrity.
  • Sort packages according to defined processes, storing them in designated areas.
  • Fill out documentation or records, validating information on the appropriate media.
  • Reposition vehicles according to the established dock plan, optimizing logistics.
  • Clean work environments during or after operations, maintaining a safe and healthy workspace.
  • Report any malfunctions to the supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution.

Requirements:

  • Meet local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of package handling principles and logistics operations.
  • High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience driving vehicles, preferably in a logistics or transportation setting.
