Overview

We are in search of a distinguished, strategic, and innovative leader for the position of Director of Vitality Distribution at Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with crafting and implementing a comprehensive distribution strategy aimed at enhancing market presence and nurturing robust partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership, industry knowledge, and strategic insight will be instrumental in establishing Company 1 as a frontrunner in the Canadian retail insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the formulation and execution of a dynamic distribution strategy for Vitality by pinpointing market opportunities, defining clear objectives, and launching initiatives to boost market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with essential partners and distributors, utilizing a profound understanding of their distinct needs and market conditions to position Vitality for mutual success and sustained growth.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and wholesaler units, to ensure cohesive alignment and maximize the effectiveness of distribution efforts, driving innovation and addressing evolving market demands.
  • Assess market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights, leveraging data-driven analysis to guide strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive distribution reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management, offering strategic insights and recommendations to foster continuous improvement and achieve distribution goals.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in leadership roles within insurance distribution in the health and wellness sector, showcasing a deep understanding of the market, distribution channels, and effective sales strategies.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and relationship management abilities, with a proven capacity to lead and motivate a team, collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, and negotiate strategic alliances.
  • Strategic thinker, results-oriented, and skilled in developing and executing impactful distribution strategies, with a strong focus on achieving and surpassing business objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or industry certifications are advantageous, complemented by extensive experience in wholesale distribution and business development within the health and wellness sector.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Canada.
