Having recently concluded the record-breaking SickKids VS Limits Campaign, which raised $1.7 billion, the Foundation is now launching an innovative Comprehensive Campaign aimed at realizing the vision of Precision Child Health (PCH). This multi-year initiative seeks to transform medical care from a generalized approach to personalized, targeted treatment, ensuring that no child is overlooked. This Campaign represents a groundbreaking chapter in Canadian philanthropy and aims to revolutionize pediatric care both locally and globally.
Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Vice President, Campaign will be an integral member of both the Development Team and the Senior Management Team, overseeing all facets of this historic Campaign. This role is crucial in shaping the organization’s strategies and ensuring that all fundraising efforts align with the Campaign's objectives and the strategic philanthropic priorities of SickKids.
The Vice President, Campaign will act as the public representative and advocate for the Campaign, managing a select group of prospects and donors with a focus on securing contributions of $5 million and above. In addition to leading the Campaign Cabinet, this role will involve supporting key volunteers and collaborating closely with SickKids leadership to broaden and diversify the Foundation's donor base and funding sources globally.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a distinguished leader to contribute to an unprecedented initiative that will redefine philanthropy and impact the pediatric healthcare landscape for years to come. The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience in senior fundraising roles, preferably within healthcare, education, or similarly complex environments. A proven history of securing significant gifts from individual and corporate donors, along with expertise in all aspects of fundraising—including pipeline development, donor cultivation, and solicitation of seven-figure gifts—is essential. Experience in planning and executing comprehensive fundraising campaigns, as well as in building and leading a high-performing team, will be critical for success.
Essential skills include a growth mindset, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and high emotional intelligence to foster strong relationships and trust among the Foundation, SickKids, donors, volunteers, and external partners. Compensation Package
The hiring salary range for this position is $207,060-$245,635, with the potential to reach a maximum of $282,170. Placement within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Vice President, Campaign role. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
