Pharmacy Manager Job Description

Calgary Co-op is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Pharmacy department and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service experiences for our members and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and customer service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Operations Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage the pharmacy budget, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to improve pharmacy operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc. Pharm) degree.
  • Current registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Authorization to administer medications by injection.
