Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at MyHealthCare Pharmacy.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will provide administrative support to our pharmacy team, assisting with tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and customer service. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek.

Responsibilities:
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow management
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments
  • Bill third-party insurers
  • Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams
  • Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers' compensation
  • Collect statistics
  • Perform general clerical duties
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Assist healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience an asset
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
