Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at MyHealthCare Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments
  • Bill third-party insurers
  • Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams
  • Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation
  • Collect statistics
  • Perform general clerical duties
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas
  • Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone, and booking appointments
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Assist healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
