Key Responsibilities

In this position, reporting directly to the Assistant Treasurer, you will contribute significantly in the following areas:

  • Leading and assisting management in the creation, upkeep, and execution of precise financial forecasting models, including daily cash flow, fuel deferral account balances, and carbon credit generation.
  • Delivering in-depth analysis, options, implications, and recommendations to Treasury management to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Conducting daily treasury operations to ensure liquidity needs and debt repayment commitments are fulfilled.
  • Investigating and identifying financial transaction options (derivatives, investments, debt, alternative revenue sources) to minimize financial risk and enhance financial performance.
  • Ensuring compliance of all transactions and Treasury activities with internal policies, contract obligations, and financial agreements.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of Treasury policies and guidelines, ensuring they remain up-to-date and providing recommendations for enhancements.

We seek a strategic problem-solver with a strong understanding of treasury operations, banking, cash management, capital markets products, qualitative analysis, and data science.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, alongside strong oral and written communication, report-writing, and presentation abilities, are essential.
