Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst who will report to the Supervisor of Technology Projects. This role is pivotal in collaborating with various business units to ascertain and prioritize technology project requirements. The focus will be on operational technology projects, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of transit operations, including maintenance and dispatch functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify business needs, transforming them into user stories and requirements.
- Communicate these requirements effectively to technology teams and external vendors.
- Oversee the requirements management process throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop testing strategies, create test cases, and support user acceptance testing.
- Foster strong relationships across departments, utilizing systems thinking and analytical skills to simplify complex concepts.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts, contributing to the refinement of team processes and practices.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar credentials.
- Experience leading business analysis initiatives within a large organization, particularly in IT projects.
- Proficiency in establishing and implementing business analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management principles and business analysis standards.
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions.
