About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Software Trainer to join our team at PBS Systems Inc. as a DTO Trainer - Accounting and Financial Services. As a key member of our Dealer Management System (DMS) team, you will be responsible for providing support and training to new and existing customers on our software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Training and Support: Provide virtual training, online and on the phone, to customers leading up to the implementation of our software. Assist customers onsite in person, when required, with new software install training.
  • Process Knowledge: Develop an understanding of the PBS software and the process for training customers on the software.
  • Data Entry and Key Tasks: Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks within the software.
  • Payroll Module: Complete the payroll module and become proficient in its use.
  • Install Resource: Develop the ability to complete software installs without assistance.
  • Task Prioritization: Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks without direction from Team Leads.
  • Product Knowledge: Take the initiative to learn new products to increase knowledge and provide excellent support to customers.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent support to customers in our software, including responding to internal and external training requests in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation and update as processes change within the department.
  • Education and Cross-Training: Commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training.
  • Queue Monitoring: Ensure the DTO queue is monitored.
  • Extra Mile: Demonstrate a willingness to go the extra mile to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-2 years' previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment, or PBS is an asset.
  • Computer Proficiency: Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Time Management and Organization: Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Multi-Tasking and Prioritization: Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Travel: Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month.
  • Education: High School Diploma.
