Help Desk Support Position Overview
MacLean Engineering is seeking an experienced Help Desk Support individual to join our IT team in Collingwood, Ontario. This role involves providing technical support to employees across various locations, including hardware and software assistance, inventory management, and travel to branches and facilities.
About the Role:
- Provide technical support to employees at all locations, including hardware and software assistance.
- Source and requisition hardware and software from multiple vendors as directed by the Business Systems Manager or Supervisor.
- Responsible for the initial setup, configuration, and maintenance of all hardware and software.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT-related hardware and software and ensure the integrity of these documents via periodic audits.
- Travel to various branches and facilities, including annual onsite support to our Creighton and Thompson branches.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, be adept at problem solving, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
- Swipe card security setup for building access, AutoCrib and Fastenal for all locations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are important to succeed in this role.
About You:
- The successful candidate must be willing to learn, open-minded, and flexible, organized and detail-oriented, team-oriented, disciplined, and have a positive attitude.
- Any one of the following qualifications is an asset: Degree of Certification in an IT-related field, A+ Certification, LAN/WAN experience, strong working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 office products, knowledge of Bitdefender and Ubuntu.
