About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Painter to join our team at Dunbar Painting Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in painting and wall covering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Cleaning: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and surfaces, maintaining the integrity of the structure.
  • Paint Mixing and Application: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces with precision and attention to detail.
  • Wall Covering and Decoration: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, advising clients on colors and choice of wall coverings.
  • Scaffolding and Rigging: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as required for safe and efficient work.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring accurate planning and execution.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors and at heights, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
