Make Your Mark in Financial Institutions

AIG's underwriting teams provide innovative insurance solutions across Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We're reimagining how we help customers manage risk, modernizing our operating model, and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities by collaborating with brokers to source new leads.
  • Assist in budgeting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to drive financial performance.
  • Help the team achieve Financial Institutions budget and profitability goals by implementing an effective underwriting process.
  • Develop and grow a working pipeline of new business.
  • Work with distribution partners to achieve positive outcomes in new business and renewals.

Leadership and Development:

  • Lead an underwriting team to drive profitable underwriting results.
  • Mentor and train staff through effective leadership, role modeling, and training programs.
  • Develop each team member to facilitate personal growth, succession planning, and career development.
  • Prior management experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work for yourself and others.
  • Proven ability to network and build relationships.
  • Organized, highly motivated, self-starter who takes responsibility for own performance and demonstrates leadership in their approach to work, training, and knowledge seeking.
