About the Role

The Software Deployment Specialist will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of software deployments, including planning, preparation, testing, execution, and monitoring. This role involves maintaining an up-to-date and secure software inventory, participating in operational upgrades, and supporting various security-related tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively prioritize the remediation of security-related issues to reduce cybersecurity risks.
  • Develop and maintain deployment plans for software updates and patching.
  • Coordinate with development and security teams to ensure software meets all requirements.
  • Ensure deployments are executed on time and with minimal disruption to users.
  • Monitor the system during and after deployment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the deployment process.
  • Ensure BioScript system remains in compliance by applying identified fixes and configurations.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding the status of the deployment.
  • Continuously improve the deployment process, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Support the security team with operational or project needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in deployment, patching, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and business impacts.
  • Experience with deployment tools, such as Intune, MECM, WSUS, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work some after hours.
