Your Role
The Communications and Marketing Manager will serve as a key expert in crafting comprehensive marketing and communication strategies. This role requires a strong storyteller who excels in cross-channel communication and understands the significance of earned media.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the Vice-President of Engagement and Philanthropy to develop and oversee the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Create an integrated strategic operating plan that aligns with the organization's vision and objectives.
- Implement specific marketing and communication plans tailored to departmental needs.

Team Leadership:
- Supervise a small team, managing staffing needs and performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to enhance staff development and skills.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve marketing and communication goals.

Public Relations:
- Manage all media relations and develop an annual earned media strategy.
- Oversee key organizational public relations initiatives and digital strategies, including website and social media management.
- Ensure that all communications are inclusive, diverse, and accessible.

Marketing Initiatives:
- Formulate and execute marketing strategies for various organizational programs.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials to ensure brand consistency.

Risk Management:
- Establish communication risk management policies.
- Assist in crisis management to protect the organization's reputation.

Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough analysis and reporting on communications and marketing efforts, implementing evaluation mechanisms to measure success.
- Stay informed on best practices and innovations within the charitable sector.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in PR, communications, marketing, or journalism.
- A minimum of three years of management experience in a related field.
- Strong understanding of marketing and communications principles and media trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress.

What We Offer

- Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience and qualifications.
