About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Black Sheep Pub & Liquor Store. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation and service.

Inventory Management

Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate records of stock levels and ordering as needed.

Staff Supervision and Training

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Financial Management

Prepare budget and cost estimates, maintaining accurate records of sales, wastage, and repairs.

Communication and Teamwork

Prepare food order summaries for the chef, supervise and check assembly of trays, and establish work schedules to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
Work Environment
  • Permanent position
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language required
