Current Responsibilities:

The Planning Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily patient care operations within the Medicine and Stroke Departments.

This position involves providing daily guidance to unit staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and evidence-based care in partnership with patients and their families, aligning with the vision, mission, and values of GGH.

The Manager acts as a role model for professional and organizational competencies, supporting positive patient care outcomes.

A Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline is required, while a Master's degree is preferred.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience in guiding staff through performance and attendance challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication, coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills.
  • Strong change management abilities, with a track record of facilitating departmental change initiatives.
  • Capacity to analyze research and apply evidence-based practices in policy and procedure development and clinical practice.
  • Knowledge in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships.

Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice for Medicine patients, including those with stroke, COPD, CHF, and complex medical and geriatric conditions is essential.

Experience with patient flow management within the medicine program is advantageous.
