The Capital Program Planner - Architectural Systems plays a crucial role in promoting the integrity of NSH building architectural infrastructure. This is achieved through provincial-level strategic planning, ensuring alignment with NSH Health Services plans and departmental objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning, development, and coordination of the three NSH Capital Programs: Repair & Renewal, Capital Medical Equipment, and Clinical Capital.
- Alignment of all planning efforts with NSH Health Services plans and associated departmental medium and long-term health care strategic objectives.
- Coordination among peers and management to contribute to the planning and implementation of the three NSH Capital Programs.
- Preliminary assessment of requirements for Major Capital program projects submitted up through NSH leadership for consideration by DHW.
- Coordination with Major Capital Program initiatives of other Departments in their support of NSH.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and significant planning experience preferably in Health Care. The ideal candidate will have 5 years minimum required experience in architectural systems assessment, planning, design, and specification development, as well as 6 years required experience in all aspects of capital program development and implementation.
The successful candidate will possess current knowledge of the Building Code, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Environmental regulations, and ASHRAE standards. They will also have the ability to effectively prioritize and address simultaneous customer concerns by order of criticality while maintaining adherence to standards and resolving potentially conflicting demand across the customer base.
