Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to become a vital part of our Capital and Payments division. In this customer-centric role, you will be tasked with reaching out to merchants utilizing our capital advance service who have outstanding balances, and you will work to establish suitable repayment arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Show understanding and empathy towards our clients by recognizing their circumstances and providing effective solutions.
- Conduct Outbound Calls to recover overdue capital advance accounts by negotiating feasible repayment options.
- Assist in operational processes by managing overdue accounts and collection efforts, identifying accounts that are delinquent or in default.
- Oversee accounts receivables to ensure optimal results in the recovery of our financial loans.
- Maintain thorough documentation of collection activities and processes through excellent administrative capabilities.
- Engage in professional negotiations with clients and explore various financial resources to determine the most beneficial arrangements.
- Issue dunning letters as necessary.
- Refer accounts to a collection agency after all internal collection strategies have been exhausted.
Required Qualifications:
Our team consists of 8 professionals based in North America and Europe. If you excel in negotiation and take pride in your communication skills while having a solid understanding of accounting principles, this role is ideal for you.
We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in collections or a performance-driven call center environment.
- Background in collections for a financial institution (e.g., bank, credit card company).
- Proficient communication skills in both English and French, both written and spoken, as our clientele is bilingual.
