Senior Process Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Senior Chemical Engineer to become a key member of our water treatment division within WSP. This role is available in any of our Canadian offices.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in diverse water and wastewater treatment initiatives, focusing on industrial, mine water, and municipal sectors.
- Integrate with our water treatment team and other related departments across Canada and North America, fostering effective communication to build essential relationships.
- Assume the role of Project Manager or Process Lead for various projects, ensuring quality delivery within budget and on schedule.
- Drive strategic business development, cultivate client relationships, and lead proposal efforts to secure treatment projects and maintain project pipelines.
- Coordinate with team members, WSP divisions, equipment suppliers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings, while reviewing deliverables from junior and intermediate staff.
- Conduct analysis and design for water treatment projects, including process and technology selection, equipment sizing, mass balance, and hydraulic analysis.
- Mentor junior and intermediate colleagues through on-the-job training.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing resource allocation and personal time management.
- Support senior staff with project-related tasks as needed.
- Assist management with budgeting, strategy formulation, staff evaluations, and training program delivery.
- Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Approximately 15+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering.
- Proven expertise in water treatment; experience in metallurgy is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HYSIM/HYSIS or OLI software packages is a plus.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate project delivery within complex teams and mentor colleagues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills in information and time management.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects according to quality standards.
- Experience in detailed design, procurement, construction management, and commissioning is beneficial.
- Graduate degrees are an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
