Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Technical Specialist to join our team at Johnston Group Inc. in Winnipeg, MB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between Chambers Plan administration team members and the Information Technology team.
  • Oversee system changes, manage projects, and handle all testing and troubleshooting of information from IT.
  • Provide administrative process support and training for Chambers Plan.
  • Receive and handle requests related to system issues reported to IT.
  • Train new employees and facilitate cross-training or process-changing sessions.
  • Support staff after process and program changes, work on special projects as assigned, and assist administration teams as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Business Administration or Business Analyst required.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong understanding of both technical aspects of systems and software as well as business processes to support systems.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to plan, problem-solve, multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment of individuals with varying degrees of technical skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, strong active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using MS Office.
  • Previous experience and understanding of group insurance administration and systems is an asset.
  • Previous experience organizing and facilitating presentations and prior experience creating process or training documentation is an asset.
