Regional Sales Director Job Description

Mohawk is seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Director to drive business growth and lead a high-performing sales team in Canada.

This role is responsible for developing and executing targeted business strategies with key clients across all commercial segments, as well as mentoring and coaching a team of 5-7 Account Executives.

The Regional Sales Director will report directly to the Regional Vice President and will be accountable for executing strategies to grow the Mohawk brand and business in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute business development strategies with targeted accounts to drive revenue growth.
  2. Mentor and coach a team of 5-7 Account Executives to achieve sales results.
  3. Ensure alignment of commercial sales business plans with regional RVP strategies and objectives.
  4. Represent the commercial business unit by implementing the trade activity calendar to exploit business opportunities and strengthen the brand position in the marketplace.
  5. Assist in establishing sales objectives for the region assigned in conjunction with the Regional Vice President.

Requirements:

  1. Four-year college degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  2. 5-7 or more years of related work experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  3. Knowledge of the terms, concepts, and practices of the marketing and sales environment, including product development and manufacturing procedures, distribution, customer service, and basic accounting.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts at all organizational levels.
  5. Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of a company's diverse business and product lines, as well as gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze statistical and financial data.
  6. Maintaining professionalism and utilizing appropriate conflict resolution methods in all situations in accordance with corporate standards.
  7. Ability to travel up to 50% for trade shows, customer visitation, team meetings, etc.
