Senior Virtual Implementation Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Virtual Implementation Accountant to oversee the accounting and reporting functions within our division. This role is crucial in managing the accounting processes and procedures effectively.

As a key member of the senior management team, you will engage actively in both financial and operational aspects of the division.

The ideal candidate will have the chance to contribute to and enhance the management side of our accounting and finance operations, paving the way for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive Health and Dental benefits.
  • Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of financial functions, including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll administration, and intercompany accounts.
  • Meet all financial reporting deadlines as required by senior management.
  • Coach, mentor, and lead the accounting team.
  • Collaborate with head office staff and senior management.
  • Conduct analyses as requested by senior leadership.
Qualifications:

A Accounting Certificate or Diploma is mandatory. A CPA designation or progress towards it is advantageous. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a dealership or automotive setting.

Prior experience in an accounting oversight capacity is beneficial. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with senior leadership and key decision-makers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, along with a solid understanding of standard office software (MS Office, SharePoint, etc.). Familiarity with CDK dealership computer systems is a plus.

Experience managing large volume sales accounts is also advantageous. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
