Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Supervisor to join our team at T&T Supermarket Inc. in the Meat Department. As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Meat Department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign and coordinate the tasks of sales workers to ensure that all areas of the Meat Department are adequately covered.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and that staff members have adequate breaks.
- Sell Merchandise: Sell meat products to customers, ensuring that all sales are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that management is informed of any issues or concerns.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other problems that may impact the smooth operation of the Meat Department.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that all products are available for sale.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
You will be working with a team of 5-10 people, including staff members in various areas of responsibility. As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and guiding your team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
About the Work EnvironmentThe Meat Department is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a high level of attention to detail required. You will be working in a non-smoking environment with occasional odours and noise levels.
