Meat Department Supervisor

As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the daily operations of the department, including staff performance, inventory management, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise the department's daily operation and staff performance
* Provide coaching, on-the-job training, and guidance to department staff
* Manage day-to-day business operations of the meat department, including merchandise and promotion items, orders, sales reports, and market information
* Assign duties to sales staff and other workers in the meat department
* Assist in establishing work schedules
* Organize and manage inventory in both the display and walk-in coolers
* Oversee product quality, freshness, and ensure 'First-In, First-Out' (FIFO) is strictly practiced within the department
* Conduct quality control during the receipt of inventory
* Ensure meat display counters are clean and well-kept
* Resolve problems such as customer complaints and supply shortages
* Maximize customers' satisfaction, build rapport with customers, and provide a good smile, eye contact, and attention
* Sell merchandise on occasion
* Lead by example by performing all hands-on duties required in the Meat Department
Requirements:
* Completion of high school degree
* 2+ years of experience in supermarket/food production retail chain store operations
* 1+ year of supervisory experience in supermarket/food production retail chain store
* Non-smoking, Noisy, Odours
* Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people, Staff in various areas of responsibility
* Personal Suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Dependability, Initiative, Judgement
