Concrete Finisher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Proform Concrete. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement material to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Direct the placement of concrete into forms or surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Filling hollows and removing high spots on freshly poured concrete to achieve a flawless finish.
- Operating power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
- Finishing concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
- Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Stripping concrete forms and cutting control joints.
Requirements:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- CSA-approved steel-toed boots.
- Physically demanding, handling heavy loads.
- Dusty, muddy, temperature changes.
Preferred Skills:
- Communication, working with others, problem-solving, job task planning, and organizing.
- Continuous learning.
Additional Information:
English is an asset but not required. Job entails working in various locations in Alberta as well as one location in British Columbia Thompson-Okanagan Region. Expenses paid by employer. Starting date is weather dependent.
