Concrete Finisher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Proform Concrete. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement material to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Direct the placement of concrete into forms or surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Filling hollows and removing high spots on freshly poured concrete to achieve a flawless finish.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, stripping concrete forms and cutting control joints as needed.
Requirements:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Own and maintain CSA-approved steel-toed boots and other necessary equipment.
- Work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working in dusty, muddy, and temperature-changing conditions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, working collaboratively to achieve project goals.
- Problem-solve and plan job tasks, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
- Continuous learning and professional development are essential for this role.
Additional Information:
English is an asset but not required. This role will involve working in various locations in Alberta and one location in British Columbia's Thompson-Okanagan Region. Expenses will be paid by the employer, and the starting date is weather-dependent.
