Job Title: General Internist

We are seeking a skilled General Internist to join our team at the Comox Valley Campus of the North Island Hospital.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a General Internist, you will be responsible for managing the health of patients with a wide range of medical conditions, from common illnesses to complex chronic diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in the medicine call schedule with a 1:9 frequency of night call
  • Engage in an outpatient general internal medicine practice to support the growing need for internal medicine services in our community
  • Collaborate with hospital administration and colleagues to support local educational activities, including teaching medical students and residents
  • Participate in coordinating multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
