Job Summary

Island Health is seeking a full-time General Internal Medicine specialist to join our team at the Comox Valley Campus. As a General Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our internal medicine services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions
  • Participate in the medicine call schedule with a 1:9 frequency of night call
  • Engage in an outpatient general internal medicine practice to support the growing need for internal medicine services in our community
  • Work with hospital administration and colleagues to support local educational activities, including teaching medical students and residents
  • Participate in coordinating multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Eligible for FRCPC or equivalent certification
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
