The Opportunity

ZE Power Engineering is a leading engineering design company that provides innovative solutions to the electric utility industry. We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and develop transmission and distribution systems.
  • Ensure design conformance to client and company standards.
  • Prepare detailed designs, calculations, and illustrations for civil and structural projects.
  • Support project coordination, strategic planning, and business analysis.
  • Develop technical specifications, tender documents, and project reports.
  • Interface with stakeholders and assist team leads and managers.
  • Perform site visits to project locations.

Qualifications

  • A degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or EIT with EGBC.
  • Civil engineering design experience in an electrical utility environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical utility civil standards and power transmission and distribution networks an asset.
  • Experience with finite element modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Class 5 driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
  • Familiarity with BC Hydro standards and design codes.
