Position Overview

As a Customer Service Self-Checkout Specialist at Walmart Canada Corp, you will have the opportunity to enhance your expertise in the retail sector. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring that shoppers have a seamless experience while utilizing self-service checkout options.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain a tidy, organized self-service area, ensuring it is free from unnecessary items and hazards.
2. Guide customers on the effective use of self-checkout technology, enhancing their shopping experience.
3. Advocate for company-sponsored initiatives, such as credit card services and product protection plans.
4. Monitor customer interactions to identify when assistance is necessary.
5. When interventions are needed, clearly communicate the reasons while reassuring customers that such measures are standard procedure.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in responding to security alarms and completing necessary logs.
7. Notify the Customer Service Manager regarding cash shortages or technical difficulties in the self-service area.
8. Ensure that Scan & Go devices are returned to their designated locations after use.
