About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of our culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select, shape, and develop a high-performing team of culinary professionals
  • Provide leadership and guidance on the provision of food services, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Oversee the provision of catering services for internal and external events
  • Collaborate with our Health Services Team to ensure that clients receive the appropriate therapeutic menu modifications as indicated by their medical condition

Requirements

  • Hold a Journeyman Cooks papers from an accredited institution
  • Hold a recognized Food Safety Certificate
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role in food services
  • Have experience in volume food preparation in the hospitality or long-term care sector
  • Previous management experience is an asset, as well as any other Alzheimer's or Dementia training courses
