Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unit Support Specialist to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Unit Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed by the healthcare team.
  • Act as a member of the healthcare team, working collaboratively to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Perform various tasks and responsibilities relevant to the duties of the position, including lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.
  • Organize and prioritize assigned workload to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload.
  • Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
  • Ability to perform as a team member and seek assistance as necessary.
Working Conditions

The Unit Support Specialist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The position requires extensive physical activity, including lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.
