Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at El Aventurero Restaurant Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the tastes and preferences of our customers
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness
    • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to prepare and present menu items
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
    • Implement and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
    • Develop and implement procedures for kitchen maintenance and repair
  • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled cooks and kitchen staff
    • Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance and productivity
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes diversity and inclusion
  • Business Development
    • Contribute to the development of new menu items and concepts
    • Collaborate with the management team to identify business opportunities and implement strategies for growth
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible prices and services
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven experience in menu planning and execution
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
