Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at The Wolf Creek School Division. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs in an Elementary School setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to students with complex needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Support students with academic and behavioral needs, including providing one-on-one instruction and behavioral interventions
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with complex needs
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
  • Calm and patient approach to solving problems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment
  • Background and/or experience with academic or behavioral needs
  • Ability to work one-on-one with a student in an inclusive environment
  • Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
