Support Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at The Wolf Creek School Division.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to students in an Elementary School setting, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students with complex or severe needs, adapting to their unique requirements and learning styles.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in educational support.
- Collaborate with other Educational Assistants and support staff to share ideas, resources, and expertise, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual support.
- Experience working with students with complex or severe needs, preferably in an Elementary School setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to learn and grow in the role.
